Meet Melissa Laswell

Hi, I’m Melissa Laswell—Founder and Principal Consultant of Agile Horizons Talent Consultants.

I’m a strategic Talent Acquisition Executive and Organizational Development (OD/OE) leader with a passion for building impactful talent strategies that fuel business growth and unlock human potential. Throughout my career, I’ve led talent acquisition, management and organizational transformation efforts at iconic companies—from scaling early teams at Bare Escentuals, driving global, enterprise wide talent strategy at Pitney Bowes, and holding senior leadership roles at Fortune 1 Walmart and Fortune 3 Apple.

At every stage, I’ve been known for developing high-performing, cohesive teams and delivering enterprise-scale talent solutions that blend strategic clarity with empathy, operational rigor, and a deep understanding of the employee lifecycle—from hire to offboarding. As a true talent designer and builder, I relish the opportunity to drive strategy to execution. The talent systems, processes, and frameworks I’ve built have left a lasting legacy, continuing to help organizations identify, attract and retain top talent. The talent I’ve nurtured—through leadership, training, and development—has thrived and succeeded, leaving a lasting impact that endures long after my time with these organizations.

My journey is built on resilience, humility, and purpose. While leading multi-million-dollar businesses and large, complex teams, I put myself through college, earning a B.A. in Sociology from the University of California, Riverside, and a Master of Science in Organization Development from the University of San Francisco. I also completed Cornell University's Project Management 360 Certificate Program, enhancing my change management and agile project management expertise.
